Golden Knight Matthew Davidson Retires from U.S. Army

In July, the U.S. Army announced the retirement of Specialist First Class Matthew Davidson. Davidson, who entered the Army in 1992, served as a member of the U.S. Army Golden Knights Competition Team from 1993-2000 and 2002-2019. During his tenure, his teams won 60 medals at the USPA Nationals in 4-, 8-, 10-, 16- and 20-way formation skydiving (including 32 gold medals), and five gold and two silver medals in 8-way formation skydiving at the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale World Championships. His team held a retirement ceremony for him in Raeford, North Carolina, on July 31.
