Jumpers Over Eighty Set World Record

During the International Skydiving Museum’s Hall of Fame Weekend, members of the Jumpers Over Eighty Society gathered at Skydive DeLand to set the JOES World Record for Largest Formation Skydive. On their fourth jump of the day, eight skydivers—Jim Culhane, Cliff Davis, Scotty Gallan, Walt Green, Paul Hinan, Sky Huminsky, Woody McKay and Ted Williams—set the record, exceeding the previous 6-way record set at Skydive Arizona in Eloy in 2012. USPA President Chuck Akers engineered the dive and Dean Nordstedt flew camera for the group. Orlando TV station WFTV aired the story locally, and Yahoonews.com aired it nationally.
