Exotic Sky Adventures Boogie del Sol
By Harry Leicher

There's not too much skydiving going on in Europe and most of the U.S. in February and March, making the late winter months the perfect time for a road trip.

Larry Henderson and Michael Donlon fly to the monument marking the line that separates the northern and southern hemispheres.

The staff of Exotic Sky Adventures hosted more than 125 jumpers in Salinas, Ecuador, February 22-March 8. Karina Willerup coordinated the travel. Chartered buses brought the group to Salinas, where they stayed at the five-star Barcelo Colón Miramar Hotel.

The Carnival Festival fell right in the middle of the boogie, and a number of the jumpers participated in the celebration.

Skydivers jumped from helicopters and landed on the equator running straight through the northern part of Quito, the capital of Ecuador, 9,000 feet above sea level.

Back at the airport, jumpers set the unofficial Ecuador large-formation record of 38 and the unofficial Ecuador women's record with a 16-way.

More information on next year's Thai Boogie is available at www.exoticskyadventures.nl.
