New student program BSRs delayed

At the request of several DZ operators and instructional rating holders who want more time to prepare for the new Integrated Student Program, the USPA Executive Committee has passed an interim motion to delay -- until January 1, 2002 -- the implementation of the BSRs which refer directly to the ISP program. The ISP and the related BSRs will be further discussed at the upcoming DZO Conference and USPA Board meeting early in 2001.

Those who have already implemented the ISP or plan to in the near future are encouraged to continue as planned, using the current BSRs provided in Edition 4 of the 1998 SIM (the most current version).  USPA will continue to accept either the existing or new [ISP] A-License application form.

In a nutshell, the new Integrated Student Program will proceed to be developed and implemented in the field over the next calendar year, but the BSRs which refer specifically to this training program will not.
