USPA Board Elections Process Begins
On June 1, USPA begins the process that culminates in its members electing the 2016-2018 USPA Board of Directors. All USPA members in good standing who are at least age 18 on or before August 1, 2015, are eligible to run for one of the 14 Regional Director or eight National Director seats. To be on the ballot, all candidates must submit the required election materials—including a candidate biography, candidate statement, an acceptable photograph and a non-refundable $50 filing fee—to USPA Headquarters by the close of business August 3. The candidate biography and statement must be submitted using the online form on USPA’s website here. An acceptable photo can be submitted online, by email or mail. The filing fee can be mailed or phoned in with a credit card. The election period has changed from previous years and will now run from October 1 through November 30. Section 3-1 of the USPA Governance Manual, which is available here, lists other important changes and additional deadlines. Those elected will take their seats at the first 2016 board meeting, scheduled for February 26-28 in San Diego, California.
