USPA Board Meeting Concludes
The USPA Board of Directors met July 24-26 in Hartford, Connecticut, for the final meeting of its three-year term. A highlight of the results follows:
The board selected Chicagoland Skydiving Center in Rochelle, Illinois, to host the first-ever USPA National Championships of Wingsuit Flying in late September or early October 2015. Exact dates will be announced shortly.
The board selected to award the following:
- The USPA Lifetime Achievement Award to B.J. Worth
- The Gold Medal for Meritorious Service to Carolyn Clay, Kate Cooper-Jensen and Alicia Moorehead
- The USPA Regional Achievement Award to—
- Gary Lincoln-Hope (Foreign)
- Slavo Mulik (Southwest)
- Edward Ristaino (Mid-Atlantic)
- Fran Strimenos (Northeast)
USPA has delegated team selection and management for the upcoming 1st World Championships of Indoor Skydiving to the International Bodyflight Association. Email Laura Wagner at email@example.com for more information.
Group Member drop zones are invited to submit bids to host a 2016 World Parachuting Championships of Wingsuit Flying by the September 15 deadline. Email Jim Hayhurst at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Effective March 1, 2016, all USPA Safety & Training Advisors must complete the S&TA training module at uspalibrary.org within 60 days of their appointments.
